I am the N00berlord, and I am victorious.

An extra long session Labor Day afternoon started off with the heroes doing some more shopping in town while I continued besieging a small city. The heroes moved to said city to take advantage of the many going-out-of-existence sales only to find the shops pretty much picked-over. I didn't see the need to attack them so I just continued my siege and let them continue on to a dungeon.

The first level as #6 - The Gauntlet. I could tell from the setup that the heroes weren't going to have much trouble, but it was harder for them than I expected. Especially when I took the Dark Priest build (having them upgraded to the silver level) and spawned some beastmen for backup and their command auras. I got a few (three?) kills in before the heroes made it to the second level.

The second level was called something like The Eternal Prisoner. The heroes stepped in, saw the huge silver-level Demon in the middle of the room, piddled in their armor and left without even trying. Another win for the N00berlord!

I then sacked that city I was sieging and moved my two lieutenants to other towns.

The heroes rested, shopped, and tried another dungeon. This one was The Barracks, and it was swarming with Silver Sorcerers (including one master) and Silver Skeletons. The heroes didn't have a prayer. My skeletons took turns hopping up on the tables to get extra range and damage and managed to kill Mike and bring DougTank down to just 3 or 4 hit points in the first round all at a range of 7, despite Mike and Doug's "Dodge" orders.

The heroes sent Lunch in to see if his blast power could do anything -- he did some damage to one of the sorcerers and the blast didn't go off. Then Lunch died and the other heroes fled.

After that, the heroes, seeing that I had generated 49 total conquest to their measly 15, conceded the campaign and I, the N00berlord, laughed hard in their faces.

THE END

Epilogue: We decided to start a new campaign where I'll be a player and the role of the Overlord will be played by Mike. We only got as far as setting up our characters and stuff before it was bedtime.
