Gen Con 2009 Day 1

So here goes. I am a terrible writer, and I don't even plan to read it through before submitting each night. Nevertheless, here is part 1 of my 2009 Gen Con Experience.

Wed. 8/12
This is an easy update. Spent the whole day driving with my wife and kids and then got picked up by Nate, and a couple other guys for the final leg of the journey. We are now settled into the La Quinta Inn and getting ready to play test a game Nate brought. I have to say that I only have mediocre interest, but since none of us actually brought something to play, its what we have.

We heard the grab bag was a bunch of crap again this year. Hopefully we heard wrong, but even so, oh well. Here's to another year of Gen Con!!

Update:
Played Nate's game. It didn't have a name, but I liked it. I told him he should pitch it to some publisher at the con despite having little playtesting. Kevin, Nate's cousin, was mind-numbingly slow at playing. Remind me never to get into a game of Java or Starcraft with this guy. I would probably die of old age before completing the game.

Nice

Sorry to hear about the "slowness".

What was Nate's game like?

Nate's game

He describes his game pretty well in his blog entries entitled, "Knizia RPG"

Well, there you go...

Thanks for explaining.
