The N00berlord

I am the N00berlord. And so far things are going ok.

My avatar is the Demon Lord and I took Obsidian Shackles and my evil plot, started with Siege Engines and another pro-siege skill. Since we are just one game-week into the campaign, I don't know if that was a good choice or not. I know my henchies should have an easier time razing cities -- due to my two siege skills, their city defenses are lowered by one, and I get to reroll the "did-you-raze-it-or-not" die, but how much will that really come into play?

I have no idea what the names of the heroes are, otherwise I'd include them here. I know that Doug's the tank (4 Armor and 16 hp), and has a weapon with the very annoying reach ability to compensate for his one-legged-dog-paced movement. Bob and Aaron are the squishies (Squishy 1 and Squishy 2, respectively). Bob being the squishier of the two (no armor vs. melee, 12 hp). Bob also has a higher damage potential than Aaron, so from now on I'll just call him "Lunch". Mike's the well-rounded one but leaning toward Armored Archer. Mike has two annoying abilities -- I get one fewer threat per turn, and all my cards cost one threat more. A double whammy there. Lunch gets to look at my hand and pick a card for me to discard. At least I get threat for the discard.

The game started.

On my turn, I moved my henchman to the next city. Yay.

The heroes made a b-line for the nearest dungeon but were caught sleeping in the Butterfly Meadow (I like to think of the word Butterfly in kind of a creepy Silence of the Lambs way, not a preschool sky-flower kind of way) where I ambushed them with a red Sorcerer and a bunch of skeletons. I think I got two kills (focused-fire on the squishy/sleeping heroes) before they escaped. Lunch and Squishy 2 bit the dust. Mike and Tank Doug escaped only after Not-So-Tough-When-You're-Fighting-Piercing-Enemies Doug took some serious damage.

It was fun to start out with a smack-down, but the heroes were undeterred. They continued toward the dungeon, picking up their resurrected pals along the way. Only Tank Doug had damage on him (I think he was down to 7 life).

The heroes entered the dungeon (can't remember the name of it, but it's #32 in the book). That was then end of our first session.

A good start

Sounds like a good start. Looking forward to hearing more about the hero bashing.
