Best Way?

Well, I'd say that step one is not to celebrate a holiday that tells you when to celebrate your relationship with that special someone.

I'm a conscientious objector of this upcoming holiday, although I respect how it does good things for couples, I think the stress outweighs the good.

I'll be headed out of town for work this weekend, but I'll be thinking of Nikki, like I would any weekend that I'm out of town for work and she isn't with me.

If you want a special day, celebrate your anniversary (even if it is just dating), and buy flowers randomly 4 times throughout the year for the same price that you'd pay just on Saturday.

Anyhow, I hope this doesn't sound resentful because I'm perfectly happy.

I'm with Wade.

I much more the "hey I saw this and was thinking of you" kind of guy. I'm not big on the whole, "I got these for you because I'm told I have to...Oh, and it shows I love you." I'd much rather grab flowers (not necessarily roses, there are a lot of great arrangements beyond roses) at random times, or see something I know the person I'm with likes and pick it up just because.

The best way to say "I Love

The best way to say "I Love You" on V-D is to do what you would want the other person to do for you, but only in terms of their own interests.

I myself want flowers (And any kind of flowers, doesn't have to be roses), a romantic dinner with good food, having the chance to dress up, going somewhere very aesthetically pleasing, getting just a little drunk on good booze, and then... ahem...

As for how I would carry that out in the terms of the guys interest... can't really say right now because there isn't a guy whom I can put it into his interests. But I have in the past, bought a gift that he wanted but never asked for, made a fabulous dinner because money was tight, gave a much longer back rub than normal, or maybe let him win a game for once.

Ha ha, kidding. I have never let anyone win. As for this being gamer related, giving gamer related presents is always a nice touch.

Abbreviations

You do know that VD is also an abbreviation for ...

Nooooo... I have no idea!

Nooooo... I have no idea!

And I have never been known to make a double entendre.
