Once again the Rochester Gamers Community has come through with a show of generosity and support for a local charity. This time, the recipient was the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program, whose mission is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

Ah, Thanksgiving. A time to pause and reflect on the many blessings and sources of happiness that one has in their life. Family, friends, assorted neighbors. These are the people we think upon and smile as we gather around the table to feast.
And when you push away from the table this season, patting your stomach and regretting the extra helping of mashed potatoes, think not of the couch and the football game on the television. Rather, gather those around you, after clearing the table, and plunk down a game or two.

RGC has been selected to be one of the few to demo the pre-release of the new Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying Game by Fantasy Flight Games. RGC will demo the game all day during the 4th Quarter Games Day event in November. It is an honor for RGC to be selected and we look forward to demoing this new product on behalf of FFG and the entire gaming community!
The demo will give you a first look at a complete Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay Core Set, and, as a special bonus, take part in the special introductory adventure, "A Day Late, A Shilling Short". This adventure will introduce the rules to players and the Game Master alike, as well as to the wealth of roleplaying tools available right out of the Core Set. Come and see this revolution in roleplaying firsthand!

As Halloween grows closer, the weather colder, and the shadows grow longer and more menacing, it becomes an ideal time to be indoors. Lock your doors, bolt your windows, and sit down at the game table with these spooky games of choice for the Halloween season!
2009 Gamer's Reunion has, sadly, come and gone. After countless hours of planning, preparation, and stress, the convention went off without a hitch!

I am the N00berlord, and I freaking dominated them.
Ok, they entered the second level of their first dungeon tonight. I had 19 threat and 10 cards in my hand, so I was already drooling. The dungeon was number 39 -- there's a big boss uber beastman in a room who could only be wounded by a hero who had drank from a cursed fountain. I picked the build that gave me 4 skeletons and 2 master beastmen (remember master beastmen's Command power stacks). The heroes took their turn to set up behind the door where my minions were all waiting, so on my turn I spawned a dark priest and a master dark priest to help my homies, and moved the uber beastman up closer to the door. On their secon turn, the heroes opened the door then all took different Ready actions (Lunch and Aaron resting while Doug dodged and Mike -- in a moment of questionable strategy -- readied an attack).
